Alabama K-12 Mental Health Task Force, established

HJR 324 establishes the Alabama K-12 Mental Health Task Force, which aims to evaluate and recommend policies promoting student mental health in public K-12 schools. This task force will consist of legislators, state agency leaders, and mental health experts appointed by the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. Its responsibilities include collecting data, evaluating existing resources, developing prevention programs, and reviewing training for school personnel to address mental health issues. The task force will submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Legislature by the 2027 Regular Session, after which it will dissolve.
