Livestock infectious disease control-tribal inclusion.

HB 11 allows livestock producers on the Wind River Indian Reservation to access state disease testing, containment, and reimbursement services by agreeing to program rules. It requires the state to establish a cooperative agreement with the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribes to deliver these services on tribal land. The bill also expands the governor's authority to negotiate with tribes and federal agencies to prevent brucellosis (a livestock disease) from spreading from wildlife to farms. The law took effect July 1, 2022.
