Hospitals must now establish a workplace violence incident reporting system to document and analyze all reported incidents of violence or threats against employees.

Hospitals are required to adopt a policy prohibiting retaliation against employees who report workplace violence or seek assistance.

Hospills must maintain detailed records of workplace violence incidents for at least two years, including specific data points such as job titles, location, type of attack, and injury severity.

Facility-level data on workplace violence must be reported to the Department of Health annually in an aggregated format that removes personally identifiable information.

The Board of Health is directed to promulgate regulations implementing these new reporting requirements by January 1, 2027.
