Child day programs; licensure; accredited privateschools. Adds to the list of child day programs not requiredto be licensed by the Superintendent of Public Instruction to operatein the Commonwealth programs offered by accredited private schoolsthat are in good standing with the Virginia Council for Private Educationand operate for no more than four hours per day. The bill providesthat, to be exempt from licensure, such accredited private schoolprograms must be staffed by the accredited private school's employeesand attended by children who are at least five years of age and are enrolled in the school. The bill requires such programs to be subjectto safety and supervisory standards established by the Virginia Councilfor Private Education.
