Health insurance; proton radiation therapy coverage. Provides that if proton radiation therapy is recommended by an enrollee'sinsurance policy, subscription contract, or health care plan beneficiary'shealth care provider as the preferred radiation therapy treatmentto lessen the potential of detrimental side effects, then a carriershall not deny coverage for such treatment solely on the basis ofcost. The provision applies to all insurance policies, subscriptioncontracts, and health care plans delivered, issued for delivery,reissued, or extended in the Commonwealth on and after January 1,2023.
