Sale of caskets; preneed arrangements for funeral services.
Summary
Prohibits any person except a licensed funeral service establishment or funeral service licensee from offering for sale or selling a casket when preneed arrangements for funeral services are being made, including preneed funeral contracts and preneed funeral planning. The bill provides that the requirement that a funeral service licensee accept a casket provided by a third party applies only in cases in which funeral arrangements are made at-need.
