An act relating to the sale or disposal of Stanley Hall and Wasson Hall

This bill authorizes the Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services to sell or dispose of the land that formerly housed Stanley Hall and Wasson Hall at the Waterbury State Office Complex. The legislation gives the Town of Waterbury a right of first refusal, meaning the town must be offered the opportunity to purchase the land before it can be sold to anyone else. If the town declines or does not respond in a timely manner, the state may then sell the property to another buyer. The bill also allows the state to subdivide the land before disposal. These changes take effect on July 1, 2023.
