School Fee Waiver Amendments

Corrected the wording in the fee waiver limit clause from 'limit a waiver for a trip to no more than two trips per student per year' to 'limit [waivers] a waiver for a trip to no more than two trips per student per year' to fix a grammatical inconsistency.

Fixed a numbering error in the LEA governing board requirements, changing the label from (ii) to (iv) to correctly follow the preceding item (iii).

Added a specific definition for 'Trip' to clarify it applies to school-sponsored travel activities lasting two or more nights that require a fee.

Modified the limit on waivers from a general rule to explicitly state that waivers are limited to no more than two trips per student per year.

Added a new requirement allowing a student to request a waiver for a second trip if they develop an 'action plan' with the principal outlining specific contributions to the school.

Added new rules requiring parents to provide documentation and certification verifying student eligibility and compliance with alternative fee satisfaction methods.

Established a special effective date of July 1, 2026, for the new provisions.
