Joint Rules Resolution - Sponsor's Handout
What changed between versions
The term 'sponsor's handout' was renamed to 'sponsor's supporting information' to reflect broader content allowances.
The definition now explicitly includes policy objectives, anticipated impacts, and other information the sponsor wishes to convey, rather than just factual information.
The document size limit increased from one page to two pages, allowing more detailed information.
A mandatory disclaimer statement must now appear at the bottom of the first page stating the document is not official legislation and has not been reviewed for accuracy.
The document must now be in portable document format (PDF) instead of just paper format.
Sponsors can now replace the document if legislation is amended or substituted, not just to correct factual errors.
