Intelligence Community Inspector General Parity Act of 2026
The Intelligence Community Inspector General Parity Act of 2026 grants the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community the same law enforcement authority currently held by other federal inspectors general. This change allows the office to conduct investigations and make arrests using the powers defined in section 406(f) of title 5, United States Code. The bill achieves this by amending the National Security Act of 1947 to explicitly include the Intelligence Community Inspector General in the list of agencies covered by these enforcement provisions.
