A bill to prioritize the finalization of design requirements for new Ready Reserve Force vessels, and for other purposes.

This bill directs the Secretary of the Navy and the Maritime Administrator to speed up the completion of design plans for new ships intended for the Ready Reserve Force. Within 180 days of passing, the Navy must report to Congress on the progress of specific vessel designs, the strategy for hiring shipyard managers, the funding needed for ten new ships, and how these new builds will work alongside existing used vessel purchases. The legislation aims to ensure a smooth transition to modern ships while maintaining the readiness of the reserve fleet.
