Rural Depositories Revitalization Study Act

This bill directs the Federal banking agencies and the National Credit Union Administration to conduct studies on how to help banks and credit unions serving rural areas grow and remain profitable. The agencies must investigate current laws and regulations that might be hindering these institutions and report their findings to Congress within one year. The legislation does not change any existing rules but instead requires a review to identify potential barriers to establishing new rural financial institutions.
