Charlie Kirk Act

This bill amends two laws governing the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). It requires that government-produced media materials prepared for international audiences (like news or educational content) cannot be distributed domestically until 12 years after their initial international release, or 12 years after preparation if never released abroad. The Archivist of the United States will manage domestic access to these materials, charging fees to cover costs and ensuring proper copyright permissions. The bill also reinforces a ban on USAGM using funds to influence U.S. public opinion, with limited exemptions for cultural exchange programs.
