CMV–22 Readiness Enhancement and Industrial Sustainment Act

This bill authorizes the Navy to integrate nacelle (engine housing) improvements into the CMV-22 tiltrotor aircraft fleet to boost mission readiness and reliability, specifically for operations in the Indo-Pacific. It directs the Navy to prioritize these upgrades for aircraft produced or maintained in 2025-2026, leveraging successful CV-22 aircraft modifications that increased availability and reduced maintenance. The bill aims to sustain the sole U.S. tiltrotor industrial base - including retaining skilled workers in Amarillo, Texas - during the transition from V-22 production to future programs. It requires a Navy report to Congress within 180 days detailing implementation progress, performance metrics, and impacts on the workforce and production capability.
