Defense Industrial Base Advanced Manufacturing Enhancement Act

This bill, titled the Defense Industrial Base Advanced Manufacturing Enhancement Act, directs the Department of Defense to create a plan for using advanced manufacturing to speed up the production of critical military supplies. It requires the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment to submit this plan to relevant defense forums and committees within 180 days of the bill's enactment. Following the plan's submission, a working group must be formed to identify specific manufacturing solutions that can increase production within 24 months. Additionally, the Defense Logistics Agency will update its No Bid Solicitation List to highlight items identified as critical readiness supplies and define related terms like "covered system."
