Protecting American History Act

This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to restore interpretive and educational exhibits at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia to their state as of January 21, 2026. It requires the National Park Service to complete this restoration within 15 days of the bill's enactment. The legislation also prohibits the Secretary from adding, removing, or altering any exhibits at the park without explicit authorization from Congress. The bill defines covered exhibits as interpretive displays, signs, plaques, or other educational materials within the park.
