HR 6486 United States House · 119th Congress

MACA Act

The MACA Act would require the U.S. Census Bureau to add a new question to the 2030 decennial census and all future decennial censuses. This question would ask each household member whether they are a citizen of both the United States and another country, and if so, which country. The provision would affect all households participating in the decennial census by collecting data on dual citizenship status. It changes the census form to gather this specific information for the first time in the decennial count.
