Camden National Battlefield Park Study Act

HR 5219, the Camden National Battlefield Park Study Act, requires the Secretary of the Interior to study the Camden Revolutionary War battlefield site in South Carolina and Historic Camden to evaluate its national significance and determine if it should become a National Park System unit. The study will assess feasibility, protection methods, potential local management partnerships, and cost estimates for federal development and operations. Conducted over three years with input from relevant agencies and communities, the study will not create the park but will inform future decisions. The resulting report, due to congressional committees within three years of funding, will outline findings and recommendations for Congress.
