Lactation Spaces for Veteran Moms Act

HR 1646, the Lactation Spaces for Veteran Moms Act, requires all Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers to provide dedicated lactation spaces. These spaces must be private, clean areas (not bathrooms) with seating, a work surface, wheelchair accessibility, clear signage, and easy access for women veterans and the public using VA facilities.
