A resolution prohibiting Senators charged with certain criminal offenses from receiving classified information, and for other purposes.
This resolution prohibits Senators who face criminal charges related to classified information leaks, foreign agent activities, or national security threats from accessing classified materials and performing key Senate duties. During the period they are charged (from the filing of charges until dismissal or acquittal), they cannot receive classified information, serve on committees, request funding, or travel internationally using official funds. The Senate may override these restrictions with a two-thirds vote.
