STOP CCP Act

The STOP CCP Act imposes sanctions on members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership and their adult family members. It requires freezing their U.S. assets and barring them from entering the U.S. if they play significant roles in policies the U.S. government deems responsible for: violating Hong Kong autonomy, escalating aggression toward Taiwan and neighboring countries, or enabling human rights abuses against Uyghurs and Tibetans. Sanctions can be lifted only after verifiable actions, such as ending Xinjiang internment camps, halting military threats against Taiwan, restoring Hong Kong autonomy, and stopping intellectual property theft. The bill targets specific CCP officials (e.g., Politburo members) and their families, not the general Chinese government or population.
