Baltimore BRIDGE Relief Act

This bill directs 100% federal funding for emergency repairs and reconstruction of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore City and Baltimore/Anne Arundel Counties, damaged by the Dali cargo ship collision. It modifies existing law to require that any compensation or insurance proceeds recovered for the bridge repairs must be applied immediately to reduce the state's liability for those costs from the federal emergency relief fund. The bill specifically applies to the bridge damage event and requires federal funds to cover all eligible costs without requiring state matching funds. It takes effect retroactively to March 26, 2024, to expedite the repair process.
