Land-Grant Research Equity and Accountability Act

This bill requires states to provide matching funds equal to non-Federal funds given to 1862 and 1890 land-grant universities for research and extension each fiscal year. States must annually report to the federal government whether they plan to meet this requirement or cannot, and these reports will be published publicly. The federal government must also inform state legislatures and governors about the matching requirement and submit an annual report to Congress on state compliance.
