PFAS Community Engagement and Transparency Act

This bill establishes a new Office within the Department of Defense to coordinate community engagement for areas affected by PFAS contamination from military sites. It requires the Defense Department to provide technical assistance to impacted communities - including help interpreting site documents, health data, and public comment processes - to improve their participation in cleanup efforts. The bill also mandates annual reports on community engagement, a dedicated budget dashboard tracking all PFAS-related funding (research, testing, remediation), and biennial reports on the status of PFAS testing and cleanup at military installations. These provisions aim to increase transparency and community involvement in addressing PFAS contamination near current and former military bases.
