College Employment Accountability Act

This bill requires colleges receiving federal student aid to participate in the E-Verify program, which checks the immigration status of new hires. If a college violates immigration law by hiring unauthorized workers or fails to use E-Verify, it could lose access to federal financial aid. The Department of Homeland Security must monitor colleges' E-Verify participation every six months and notify the Education Department within 10 days of any violations or non-participation.
