HR 7711 United States House · 118th Congress

Advancing Access to Telehealth Act

This bill makes permanent Medicare telehealth flexibilities that were temporarily expanded during the pandemic. It removes expiration dates for telehealth coverage, allowing beneficiaries to continue using these services without needing in-person visits for mental health, substance use, stroke care, and home dialysis. The bill also expands who can provide telehealth (including more healthcare professionals) and permits audio-only calls for Medicare-covered visits. These changes directly affect Medicare patients - especially those in rural areas or with mobility challenges - and healthcare providers who deliver remote care.
