Further Strengthening America’s Supply Chain and National Security Act

This bill requires drug manufacturers to annually report the sources of all key ingredients (both active and inactive) used in their products to the FDA. It also updates trade rules to make it harder for foreign-sourced pharmaceutical ingredients to qualify as "American-made" under trade agreements. The FDA must share this supply chain data with the Defense Department to assess military medicine dependencies and publish it publicly (without revealing trade secrets). These changes directly affect drug manufacturers and aim to improve transparency around U.S. reliance on foreign suppliers for critical medicines.
