HR 390 United States House · 118th Congress

Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area Enhancement Act

This bill amends the boundaries of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area to include 12 specific New York counties: Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, Saratoga, and Washington. The change directly expands the geographic area managed under the Heritage Area program, which focuses on preserving natural, cultural, and historic resources in the Hudson River Valley. The amendment updates the legal description of the Heritage Area without altering its funding, management, or existing conservation activities. It clarifies which counties are officially designated for the program's purposes.
