HR 3025 United States House · 118th Congress

To provide for no net increase in the total acreage of Federal land in the Virgin Islands National Park on St. John, United States Virgin Islands.

HR 3025 prevents the U.S. government from increasing the total acreage of Federal land within Virgin Islands National Park on St. John. It prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from acquiring new land that would expand the park's Federal land area, except as specified in the bill. If the Secretary does acquire land that temporarily increases the park's Federal acreage, they must convey an equal amount of Federal land back to private ownership within one year - selling it at fair market value with a 10% monthly price reduction after six months if unsold. This law directly affects the management of the park and ensures no net growth in Federal land ownership there.
