Relating to equalizing compensation for certain wrongfully imprisoned persons.

SB 2360 provides additional compensation to individuals wrongfully imprisoned in Texas who received payments under Chapter 103 before September 1, 2009. It calculates an "equalizing compensation" amount based on what they would have received as of that date, minus what they already received, using present value. Applicants must file by September 1, 2028, with payments made within 30 days of eligibility confirmation. The law expires September 1, 2029, and takes effect September 1, 2025.
