Updated the graduation requirements to clarify that students must opt-in to data sharing with higher education institutions unless specific exceptions apply, such as parental authorization to decline or school counselor approval.

Added new confidentiality provisions requiring that student information shared through the platform be protected under privacy laws and allowing students to opt-out of sharing contact information with institutions.

Established staggered effective dates with some provisions applying to the 2025-2026 academic year and others to the 2026-2027 academic year, plus a provision for immediate effect if a two-thirds vote is achieved.

Added a requirement for the Texas Education Agency and the coordinating board to jointly prepare and distribute standardized publication materials for schools to use when notifying parents about the platform.
