It recognizes their service as part of the Alamo Strike Team and Texas Mutual Aid System amid catastrophic fires that displaced 200,000 residents and caused an estimated $150 billion in damage. The Texas House formally expressed appreciation for their selfless dedication, noting Pharr was the only fire department south of San Antonio to provide aid during this crisis. The resolution was adopted on March 13, 2025, and will be presented to the individuals and Pharr City.
