Relating to accelerated instruction for public school students who fail to achieve satisfactory performance on certain assessment instruments.

HB 4128 requires Texas public school districts to provide accelerated instruction to students in grades 3-8 or in specific end-of-course subjects who fail certain state assessments. Districts must either assign these students to a highly certified teacher (master, exemplary, or recognized) for the next school year in the subject or offer supplemental instruction. The bill repeals two existing education code sections and applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
