Relating to the enforceability of certain nondisclosure or confidentiality provisions with respect to an act of sexual abuse committed against a child.

HB 2411 prohibits the enforcement of nondisclosure or confidentiality agreements that prevent victims of child sexual abuse from disclosing abuse facts to third parties. It voids such clauses in employment contracts, settlement agreements, or other arrangements, covering acts defined under Texas Family Code and Penal Code (e.g., indecency with a child, sexual assault, trafficking). The law allows parties to still keep settlement terms confidential but requires disclosure of abuse details to authorities or relevant third parties. This applies to all agreements entered before, on, or after the bill’s effective date of September 1, 2025.
