Increased penalty for violating court orders in family violence and related cases from Class A misdemeanor to state jail felony when defendant violated an order issued after conviction or deferred adjudication supervision.

Increased penalty for violating court orders from third-degree felony to second-degree felony when defendant has prior convictions for similar offenses or commits assault/stalking while violating orders.

Increased penalty for violating court orders when defendant possesses a deadly weapon during the violation, maintaining felony classification but increasing severity.

Changes apply only to offenses committed on or after September 1, 2025, with prior offenses governed by existing law.
