Courts, Administrative Office of the - As enacted, directs the administrative office of the courts (AOC) to define and develop a centralized system of case management, document management, electronic case filing, electronic payment methods, data reporting, and any other capability deemed necessary for collection and reporting of all state and local court public case level data. - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 16 and Title 18.
This law directs the Administrative Office of the Courts to create a unified digital system for managing cases, documents, and payments across Tennessee's state and local courts. The new system must collect and report detailed public data in a consistent format and include plans for ongoing costs and maintenance. Until the new system is ready, court clerks must continue using their current technology to submit required data electronically. Once the centralized system is developed, all court clerk offices, including those in major counties, must transition to it on a schedule set by the Administrative Office.
