Traffic Safety - As enacted, enacts the "Jacob (Jake) T. Barnhardt Act," which creates a street racing task force to study and determine best practices for curbing illegal street racing in this state. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 38; Title 39 and Title 55.

This bill establishes the Jacob (Jake) T. Barnhardt Act to create a street racing task force aimed at studying and reducing illegal street racing in Tennessee. The task force includes representatives from state safety agencies, law enforcement in six major cities, and elected officials who will meet monthly to identify effective strategies and necessary resources. By January 15, 2025, the group must submit its findings and recommendations to the state legislature before the committee dissolves.
