Local Education Agencies - As enacted, allows certain schools in need of intervention to exit the school turnaround pilot program before the 2024-2025 school year. - Amends TCA Title 49.

This law allows certain schools in Tennessee that are struggling to leave a specific improvement program before the 2024-2025 school year. To qualify for an early exit, a school must be a Title I institution serving grades six through eight that failed to meet state performance goals by the end of the previous school year. When a school exits the program, it no longer needs to follow the required turnaround plan, and the committee overseeing the school's improvement efforts is dissolved. Additionally, the independent experts hired to help struggling schools must stop billing for services once the school officially leaves the pilot program.
