Insurance, Health, Accident - As enacted, enacts the "Prostate-Specific Antigen Screening for High-risk Insured Men Act" or the "PSA Screening for HIM Act." - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 56 and Title 71.

This Tennessee law requires most health insurance plans to cover prostate cancer screenings for men without charging copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance. The mandate specifically applies to men aged 40 to 49 who are at high risk due to being African American or having a close family history of the disease, as well as to all men aged 50 and older. While the rule covers standard medical policies, it excludes specific types of insurance such as dental, vision, and workers' compensation plans. The legislation takes effect on July 1, 2024, and applies to any insurance policy issued or renewed on or after that date.
