Attorney General and Reporter - As enacted, empowers the attorney general to fix the attorney general's and their assistant's compensation; limits the attorney general's salary to an associate justice on the supreme court or a Class 1 official; permits the attorney general to pay salaries in periodic installments. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 6.

This bill allows the Tennessee Attorney General to set their own salary and those of their assistants, provided the amounts stay within the budget approved for the department. The Attorney General's pay is capped so it cannot be higher than the salary of a Supreme Court associate justice or a Class 1 official. Additionally, the law requires that these salaries be paid out in regular installments rather than as a single lump sum.
