Health, Dept. of - As introduced, requires the commissioner of health to report to the health committee of the house of representatives and the health and welfare committee of the senate by January 1, 2018, on the impact of the treatment guidelines developed pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-1-401, on the abuse of opioids in this state; the commissioner shall also make appropriate recommendations for any needed additional legislation to address issues raised by opioid abuse. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 33; Title 49; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.
