Law Enforcement - As introduced, requires the commissioner of safety to report to the criminal justice and civil justice committees of the house of representatives and the judiciary committee of the senate by January 15, 2018, on the role of judicial district drug task forces in combating opiate abuse in this state; the commissioner shall also make appropriate recommendations for any needed additional legislation to address law enforcement issues raised by opioid abuse. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 29; Title 38; Title 39; Title 40 and Title 41.
