A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 40-8-150, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO GROUNDS FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST A LICENSED PERPETUAL CARE CEMETERY COMPANY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A COMPANY MAY BE DISCIPLINED FOR FAILING TO ACCOMMODATE TIMELY BURIALS AFTER A FUNERAL SERVICE; AND TO AMEND SECTION 40-19-110, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT FOR A FUNERAL DIRECTOR, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IT IS DEEMED UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT FOR A FUNERAL DIRECTOR TO ARRANGE A FUNERAL SERVICE WITHOUT SCHEDULING A TIMELY BURIAL OF THE REMAINS OF THE DECEASED PERSON.
