AN ACT RELATING TO TOWNS AND CITIES -- INTERLOCAL CONTRACTING AND JOINT ENTERPRISE

This bill removes the requirement for the state attorney general to review and approve agreements between local towns and cities. It allows these public agencies to enter into joint projects or contracts without needing state-level legal oversight before they begin. The law still requires the participating agencies to follow specific rules when creating these agreements, such as defining their purpose, budget, and how they will be managed. Once passed, local governments can collaborate more independently while maintaining their own legal responsibilities.
