An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in other required equipment, further providing for visual signals on authorized vehicles.

This law allows highway construction and maintenance vehicles in Pennsylvania to use flashing or revolving green lights in addition to the standard yellow lights. The Department of Transportation, working with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, will create rules for how these lights are used and must finalize them within three years. Only vehicles owned by municipalities, state agencies, or their contractors that are used for road work, snow removal, or traffic control are permitted to display these lights. Any other vehicle found using similar green lighting equipment will be considered to have committed a summary offense and could face a fine between $100 and $500.
