Relating to support of cultural organizations.
What changed between versions
The original bill had one $8,875,000 appropriation with one $400,000 appropriation for technical assistance. The amended version keeps the $8,875,000 for direct grants but reduced the technical assistance appropriation from $400,000 to $50,000.
A new competitive grant program was created through a separate section to award the $50,000 to a nonprofit organization that provides technical assistance to arts and cultural organizations.
The list of organizations receiving direct grants was reorganized and some entries were removed, while PHAME and Salem Art Association were added to the direct grant list.
The bill was renumbered and restructured, with sections 3 and 4 now governing the technical assistance program instead of sections 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Additional sponsors were added to the bill, including Representatives GOMBERG, LEVY B, NGUYEN H, RESCHKE, and WALTERS.
