Summary
Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Higher Education Coordinating Commission for distribution to community colleges and public universities to fund hiring of benefits navigators. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2023. Requires Higher Education Coordinating Commission to conduct study to determine how best to fund public pre-kindergarten through post-secondary education in Oregon. Directs commission to submit findings to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to education not later than September 15, 2024. ].
