Relating to extremely dangerous persons with mental illness; and declaring an emergency.

Authorizes court to commit person to state hospital or secure mental health facility during pendency of petition to commit person as extremely dangerous person with mental illness. Requires initial commitment hearing to be held within 30 days of filing of petition if person is in custody or committed, unless good cause is found by court. Requires recommitment hearing to be held within 60 days of request. Specifies where venue is proper for initial commitment hearing and recommitment hearing. Specifies procedures when committed person has pending criminal charges at time of hearing. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
