Relating to urban search and rescue; declaring an emergency.
Summary
Directs State Fire Marshal to enter into grant agreement with Eugene Springfield Fire to enable development of urban search and rescue capabilities. Requires that Eugene Springfield Fire agree to conduct urban search and rescue operations throughout state when requested by State Fire Marshal, subject to certain limitations. Directs State Fire Marshal to study and make recommendations regarding current urban search and rescue capabilities in this state. Requires State Fire Marshal to submit report on findings by September 15, 2020. Appropriates moneys from General Fund to State Fire Marshal. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2019.
