Create Tri-Share Child Care Pilot Program

This bill establishes a pilot program in Fairfield County where the costs of child care are split equally among employees, their employers, and the state Department of Children and Youth. To qualify, employees must live in the county, earn less than 300% of the federal poverty line, and lack access to publicly funded care, while employers must be based in the same area. The program requires all three parties to apply jointly, select a licensed provider, and sign an agreement, with the state department handling the administration and payments. Eligibility is reviewed annually, and participants face permanent disqualification if they commit fraud or provide false information during the application or participation process.
